Where I tutor
One tutor, one standing weekly slot.
My desk is in Studio City, just off Ventura Boulevard. Most of my in-home families are within about ten minutes of it — Sherman Oaks, Valley Village, North Hollywood and Toluca Lake — and I drive to you for a standing weekly slot, usually in the evening after school. Encino and Tarzana are a bit farther, but still regular stops. Will also travel to the Westside or Glendale/Pasadena.

Where I live and work. Ventura Boulevard families, the hills south of it, and the flats toward Colfax — I can usually take a same-week first session here.
Nearby: Harvard-Westlake (Coldwater Canyon, ten minutes from my desk), Carpenter Community Charter, Walter Reed Middle.
Straight down Ventura or Moorpark — Sherman Oaks is my most common in-home drive after Studio City. Evening slots here fill first each fall, so it's worth calling before school starts.
Nearby: Buckley (Stansbury Ave), Notre Dame High School (Riverside Dr), Millikan Middle, Sherman Oaks Elementary Charter.
The pocket between Studio City and North Hollywood along Laurel Canyon and Magnolia. Close enough that I can slot a session between two others without traffic math.
Nearby: Campbell Hall (Laurel Canyon Blvd), Colfax Charter Elementary.
In-home tutoring in North Hollywood is a short hop from my desk — the NoHo Arts District, the streets around Magnolia, and the Toluca Woods edge are all inside the ten-minute ring. A solid share of my ISEE and math families are here.
Nearby: Oakwood School (Magnolia Blvd, on the Studio City–North Hollywood line), North Hollywood High and its highly gifted magnet.
Riverside Drive east past the golf course. Quiet streets, easy parking, and close enough to the Burbank studio lots that I see a lot of families with late, irregular workdays — the standing slot helps.
Nearby: St. Charles Borromeo, and a short drive to Oakwood and Campbell Hall.
Magnolia Park, the Rancho, and the streets around the Media District are a straight shot east from my desk — close enough to sit inside the standing-slot ring with Toluca Lake. Plenty of studio-schedule families here, so evening consistency matters.
Nearby: Burbank High, John Burroughs High, Providence High School.
Regular stop, especially for SAT and ACT students. Just across the 405.
Nearby: Crespi Carmelite High School, Encino Charter Elementary.
The far end of my regular in-home loop. Works best as a fixed weekly evening; for one-off or short-notice sessions we'll usually go online.
Nearby: Portola Middle School, and the Tarzana stretch of Ventura Boulevard.
The 134 makes Glendale an easy weekly evening — north Glendale and the Kenneth Road side especially. Not far at all.
Nearby: Glendale High, Herbert Hoover High, Holy Family High School.
Over the canyon from Studio City. A good share of my Harvard-Westlake and Buckley families live on this side of the hill, so in-home on a fixed weekly evening is realistic. Short notice sessions will be online.
Nearby: Beverly Hills High School, Beverly Vista Middle, and the Harvard-Westlake upper school ten minutes back over Coldwater.
Beverly Glen drops me into Bel Air in about twenty minutes. Same arrangement as Beverly Hills — a standing in-home slot works, short-notice sessions move online, and the note home is identical either way.
Nearby: Harvard-Westlake's middle school campus (Faring Road), John Thomas Dye School, Roscomare Road Elementary.
I've tutored students from Windward, Crossroads, Brentwood, Archer, Loyola and Marlborough for years with in-home sessions when a weekly slot lines up with a Westside trip. Online sessions can help us find a better slot that works for everyone involved.
