The redesigned ACT is shorter than it used to be: a core of English, Math and Reading in about two hours, with Science now optional. The composite score — 1 to 36 — averages the core sections, and it's offered on paper or on computer.
A point of composite gain can come from any section, so we act strategically: the diagnostic shows which section has the most recoverable points, and that's where we focus the first weeks.
